Sarah Bell has been interviewed as an expert on BBC Radio, written about wild topics for the Dallas South News, and has helped with the design, funding, and implementation of an education center in Sierra Leone’s oldest national park.

In her spare time she volunteers to help various organisations with their online presence and has helped design websites for the Little Fireface Project, the Oxford Wildlife Trade Research Group, and has created brochures and posters for Sierra Leone’s National Protected Areas Authority (the government branch which oversees national parks).

She enjoys creating educational content for Youtube and Instagram to connect with audiences of all ages, and is embarking on a new science communication journey with the Oxford Museum of Natural History in 2019.

In addition to presenting her academic research at conferences around the world, Sarah Bell also speaks at schools to students of all academic levels, from kindergarten to university level. She is currently working to expand capacity for Sierra Leonean university students studying wildlife ecology and conservation through various collaborations.
